1. Introduction

Konte ("we", "our", "us") is an agent-driven video production studio: you and an AI agent formulate a video together — idea, research, script, storyboard, generated assets — and Konte hands the result to your own editing software. This policy explains what we store, who processes it, and what rights you have over it. Konte is part of the Meta-Me platform and shares its account system.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information you provide

• Account information: name, email and profile, via Meta-Me SSO (auth.meta-me.uk). Konte never sees your password.
• Project content: video ideas (why / what / how, labels, priorities), research references and excerpts you or your agent add, scripts and per-scene voiceover and on-screen text, storyboard settings, export configuration, and review notes.
• Uploads: any images, audio, footage or other files you add to a project.
• Chat messages: conversations with the in-app assistant, including anything you paste into them.

2.2 Information generated on your behalf

• Media assets: synthesised voiceover, music beds, sound effects, cards, images and assembled video cuts produced from your scripts.
• Job records: queued generation jobs, their parameters, progress, logs and failures.
• Agent activity: the actions your agent runs against your projects through the CLI/API surface, so the work is auditable.

2.3 Information collected automatically

• Usage data: which features are used and how, within Konte.
• Log data: server logs with timestamps and technical diagnostics.
• Device information: device type, operating system, app version.

3. How We Use It & Legal Basis

Service provision (contract — UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b))

• Storing and versioning your ideas, research, scripts and storyboards
• Drafting and revising script text with AI assistance
• Generating voiceover, music, sound effects and imagery for your scenes
• Assembling rough cuts and exporting editor-ready timelines
• Running the chat assistant and the agent/CLI action surface

Consent (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a))

You consent to AI processing when you sign in to Konte through the Meta-Me consent screen. You can withdraw consent at any time — the AI-assisted features stop working, and your stored content remains yours to export or delete.

Legitimate interest (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f))

For service reliability, debugging, abuse prevention and improving Konte's features.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell, trade or rent your information. Producing a video means sending parts of your content to the AI services that generate it:

4.1 Service providers

• Google AI (Gemini): your prompts, idea and research context, script text and chat messages are sent to Gemini to draft and revise scripts, answer in-app chat, and run agent tool calls. Content is processed in real time and, under the paid API terms, is not used to train general models. Google AI terms.
• ElevenLabs: the voiceover and sound-effect text of your scenes is sent for speech and audio synthesis. ElevenLabs privacy policy.
• Modal (music generation): the music prompt derived from your project is sent to a GPU service we operate on Modal to generate the music bed. No account identifiers are sent with it.
• Meta-Me platform: authentication and account state via auth.meta-me.uk and meta-me.uk. Your session is validated on every request.
• Other Meta-Me apps you connect: if you pull research from your Knowledge Base, the excerpts you choose are copied into the Konte project. Nothing is pushed back.
• Infrastructure: self-hosted on our own hardware behind a Cloudflare Tunnel. Rendering and heavy generation run on our machines, not a third-party cloud.

4.2 What we never do

• We do not publish anything for you. Konte hands you a cut and a timeline — uploading it anywhere is your action, on your own accounts.
• We do not use your projects, scripts or media to train models.
• We do not run advertising or third-party analytics trackers.

4.3 Legal requirements

We may disclose information if required by law or in response to a valid legal request.

5. Data Security

• Row-Level Security: every database query is scoped to your user and app instance at the PostgreSQL level, through a runtime role that cannot bypass RLS.
• Dedicated database: Konte has its own PostgreSQL database, separate from other Meta-Me apps.
• Authentication: SSO via auth.meta-me.uk (Google OAuth or email/password). API access uses per-user keys you can revoke.
• TLS: all traffic is encrypted in transit.

Transparency about limits

In the event of a personal-data breach we will notify affected users within 72 hours, as required by UK GDPR Article 33.

6. Data Retention

• Active accounts: project data and assets are retained while you use Konte.
• Deleted projects: rows and their generated assets are removed.
• Deleted accounts: all projects, assets and chat history are permanently deleted.
• Backups: database backups are retained for 30 days for disaster recovery.

7. Your Rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

• Access: view all your projects, scripts, assets and chat history in the app
• Correction: edit or delete any idea, scene, reference or asset
• Deletion: request full account deletion
• Portability: export your scripts, assets and timelines — the export step does this by design
• Withdraw consent: stop AI processing at any time
• Complain: lodge a complaint with the ICO or your local data protection authority

8. Automated Processing & AI

Konte uses AI to draft scripts, answer chat, and generate voice, music and imagery. The agent proposes; you approve. No stage advances without your review, and no decision with legal or similarly significant effects is made automatically.

9. Children

Konte is not intended for anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes materially we will update the date above and notify signed-in users.
